We recommend that all under-cabinet range hoods be installed twenty-one to twenty-seven inches over standard cooking equipment, while we recommend that larger, wall-mounted range hoods should be installed twenty-seven to thirty-six inches over professional-grade ranges. Ideally, the width of your range hood should be equal to or larger than that of your cooktop.
